Sam Pereira has written several books of poetry, including The Marriage of the Portuguese (L\'Epervier Press, 1978), Brittle Water (Abattoir Editions/Penumbra Press, University of Nebraska at Omaha, 1987), and A Cafe in Boca (Tebot Bach, 2007). An expanded edition of his first book will be released from Tagus Press at UMass, Dartmouth in April, 2012. His most recent work, Dusting on Sunday, will be released later in 2012 from Tebot Bach.
Pereira has published in many literary magazines and anthologies over the past several decades, including American Poetry Review, Poetry, Antioch Review, Nebraska Review, Prairie Schooner.
He lives and teaches in California\'s San Joaquin Valley.
